New year new goals
I hope everyone is enjoying the new year. This is a great year to refocus yourself to improving your skills using the different programs given by your mentors. And to reach the goal of becoming a GED graduate !

I would love to see learners interview one another about things... Anything from study tips, social pressures around testing, life after the GED...
Wow!
One of my responsibilities at eLearnVA is to monitor and record each student's weekly activity time. Every now and then, a student comes along who blows me away by his or her level of activity. Two weeks ago I noticed that a new student had worked on the SkillsTutor website for 26 hours in one week! To my amazement, the next week she worked for 41 hours--that's like a full time job!
New Site
I have been put on a new site for Elearnva (I don't know if it is a new sister site for Elearn or not, but it is new to me) and right now I am on the pretest. Its going good so far, and I think I am making some headway.
Lit-Link
I think that this sister site of E Learn is very good. I think I am on one of the first tests given to new people to this site. It is kind of hard but I'm up to about question 21 or 22. I would like to know if anyone has any advice to what to do after the test is done.
Do I go on to another test? I am also writing a story. I want to get feed back on what you all think about it. (IE Grammar, Spelling, ect.) I am open to all kinds of feedback.
Thanks.
Face-to-Face Classes
I hope all the eLearn students are doing well. It's that time of year again were your face-to-face classes are starting back. That means it's a very important time of year because a lot of you are going to be taking Official Test, and becoming GED graduates. This means it very important to be putting your time into your online programs to be sure to be the best prepared you can be.
If any of the students have a successful goal reached or GED test past. Please write about your success here, so everyone can share in your success.
I look forward to hearing from everyone !
Summer time studying
I hope all the students had a wonderful July 4th weekend ! Wanted to remind everyone to be sure to put in your three hours per week into your Skills Tutor and other program that your mentors have given you.
Remember not to let your studies take a back seat in your pursuit of becoming a GED graduate. If you study just 30 minutes each day you will meet the 3 hour minimum requirement to stay in eLearn.
Summer studying
Now is a great time to use all of the resources your eLearnVA mentors are giving you. With most of you all out of school for the summer, it's a perfect opportunity to improve your GED preparation. Then you will be prepared to test in the fall when school starts back.
Remember to post all your experiences here on the blog.
Happy studying !
