For the most part I've finished the studying that i need for the GED test itself. Though i feel more comfortable taking the math portion of the test, a little more studying couldn't hurt.
I think in the long run that I'm going to pass but what I'm now worried about is the score that I'm going to pass with. I've gotten better scores on test's before so I'm going to keep studying, though i get high scores on the quizzes that i take.

Right so i just started my classes, and i feel that maybe i should document these things as i go along. For the first time in a very long time it feels as if I'm taking a very big step forward in light of that I'm going to try and consider the other things i should move forward with outside of my educational boundary's.

Poet Nikki Giovanni on reading & literacy

After her speech, I asked her to offer a few words of encouragement on camera to adult learners in Virginia. Here is the video:

Hello everyone, I am new at this and very excited to get going on learning... i wanted to say to everyone out there! Good Luck!
Step One
Yeah, I did it. Im in the process of getting my GED. Concidering nobody has graduated from High School in my family, much less got their GED, I think it's pretty amazing. I plan on doing big things, I'm proud of myself. He-he, thats not something I say often. Anyway, skys the limit. Some form of college is in my future, If only I knew what I wanted to do. Screw it, I'm only 20! I have time. Not that I plan on wasting it. So, the first step has been taken. Let's see where my feet carry me.

Winning My GED Success Story videos
Last year, the VALRC held a contest challenging adults who had earned their GED to share their experiences with others by filming a short video and uploading it to YouTube. The winner won a Nintendo Wii, and the two runners-up won iPod Nanos.
We want to thank everyone who submitted videos about their GED experiences. The three contest winners are posted below:
